Ceramic Shield (Fire Insurance Badge)
Here is an emblem (Badge) that fire insurance companies put on buildings to show a policy code number. It was designed to survive a fire so that if a house burns up in a fire, they could collect the badge from the burned ashes and be able to identify if the house was insured and who's policy will collect the damages.
